Lets Make A Music App!
In this group project is to make a music app that is specific for one type or genre and we decided to pick Jazz as my group.
What is Jazz?
Jazz originated from African American communities in the 19th and 20th century. Jazz is different than other genres as it’s flexibility in improvisation and unique swing rhythms.
The majority of jazz listeners range from young adults to the older generation.
Jazz is big on their live events as people come to see their favorite artist perform live as it is very instrumental heavy.
Jazz is so broad that there so many different sub genres for people to discover
Problem Statement
We are trying to create a Jazz app that helps Jazz enthusiasts to Explore, Find Live Events and to find music suited for their Mood.

A lot of new jazz enthusiasts value the experience of going to live jazz events but never know where to go unless they have connections
Based on the data we collected, experienced jazz listeners appreciate the experience of music exploration and discovering sub genres
A majority of our jazz listeners listen to certain songs based on their mood or activity they are doing at the time.

Initial Version
In the initial app design we knew it had to have a dark tone with some colorful accents that will make the screen pop. We got feedback on some of the things that worked and what did not and went back to fix it up in my final version. We wanted to focus on 3 main goals that the interviews all wanted.
Moods - For when people can pick smoothing specify for the mood they are felling
Live Events - Many people valued listening to jazz live in a club and but have a hard time finding shows
Live Steams - Some concerns that were raised was that people have a hard time getting to live events cuz of how far it is and suggest live streams of the events would be helpful.
