The goal for this project was to design over the ear headphone that has a wireless charging capabilities. The user group I decided to focus on were those who work from home, have limited space and spend long hours in front of their monitor.
The requirements for this project was to include a Power button, Bluetooth connectivity, volume controls and contact charging pins.
HermanMiller is an American company that makes office equipment and home furnishing. They manufacture high quality office and home furniture that have a modern design and are known to push the boundaries of what simple furniture can look like .
The User - Who was this Designed for?
This product is for those who work at home remotely and sit in front of their chair all day long. This product is designed for those who have limited space on their desk, but would still like an easy place to store their headphones without it being complicated.
Designing the User Experience
Charging: A Magnetic charging plate that can be placed on the back of the monitor makes it sleek. The extra hang of the headbands acts as a place to grab onto from the front for the user sitting in the chair
Responsive Feedback: Interactive volume dial with responsive buttons
The unique charging capabilities allows there to be less space on your work station while having a clean and compact environment.
